Michael Joyce is a Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Consultant at Segal Marco Advisors, based in Boston, MA. He has spent his professional career advising large multi-employer pension, annuity, and welfare plans, as well as public and single-employer benefit plans, on a wide range of investment and fiduciary matters.
Michael’s client work spans asset allocation, investment manager selection and oversight, corporate governance, compliance and fiduciary issues, and performance evaluation. He also provides discretionary investment services and guidance on liquidity and liability analysis. As a principal of the firm, he serves on the management committee, alpha manager review committee, and discretionary management committee.
Before joining Segal Marco Advisors, Michael was a partner at Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane in Boston, where he specialized in employee benefits law, advising multi-employer, public, and corporate plans.
He holds the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation and is a member (and past President of the Governing Council) of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS). Michael also serves on several non-profit boards. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
