Juan Pablo holds a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from University of Oxford and an undergraduate degree in Finance and International Relations from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
He has 25 years of professional experience. Since March 2023, he has served as Vice President of Finance and Risk at AFP Protección. Prior to this, he was affiliated with Grupo Bancolombia for 19 years, where he served as Director of Economic, Sector and Market Research, as well as Director of Strategy and Market Risk Manager in the Asset Management area.
He also worked at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Colombia and was a consultant for the World Bank. In addition, he has been a professor at Universidad Externado de Colombia, EAFIT University, and University of La Sabana, where he has taught graduate-level courses in finance and economics.
