Nogui Acosta Jaén holds a Master’s degree in Economics, specializing in Business Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, specializing in Business Administration, both from the University of Costa Rica. He served as Costa Rica’s Minister of Finance from May 2022 to July 2025 and as Vice Minister of Finance during the first 16 months of the Alvarado Quesada administration. Additionally, he has worked as an advisor at the Superintendence of Pensions, a parliamentary advisor, Deputy Manager at BN Seguros of Banco Nacional, and General Manager of Improsa Seguros.
