Héctor Cusman

Lawyer and specialist in social security, financial regulation, and corporate governance, Héctor Cusman currently serves as Deputy Superintendent of Pensions at the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Funds (SBS) of Peru. He is also Vice Chairman of the Board of the SBS Retirement Fund and Pro-tempore President of the International Association of Pension Supervisory Authorities (AIOS).
He holds a strong international academic background, including a Master’s degree in Social Security Management and Administration from the University of Alcalá (Spain) and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Lima. He has further complemented his expertise with executive programs in public policy, artificial intelligence, data science, and digital transformation at institutions such as the University of Salamanca, the University of Chicago, and Boston University.
He is also recognized for his academic and consulting experience, serving as a professor at leading Peruvian universities and as a consultant for the World Bank. His areas of expertise include pension fund management, social security, public administration, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
